Privacy policy for progley.com
This policy describes how Progley Technologies (“Progley,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data collected through https://progley.com, including the contact form, optional newsletter signup, and analytics tools we may enable. It is written for a marketing and project-inquiry site. It is not a substitute for a data processing agreement on a client project. Last updated 16 August 2026.
Who is responsible
The controller for personal data collected on this website is Progley Technologies. Contact: hello@progley.com.
If you are a client, additional processing may occur under a statement of work, NDA or data processing addendum. Those documents control project data (source code, credentials, customer lists you provide). This policy covers the public website unless those documents say otherwise.
What we collect and why
Contact form and project email. If you submit the form or write to sales@progley.com or hello@progley.com, we process the fields you send. Typical fields are name, email address, organization, message, and any files or links you attach. We use this to reply, assess fit, and keep a record of the inquiry. Client mail to support@progley.com is used to help with an existing engagement. We do not use inquiry content to train public AI models.
Newsletter. If we offer a newsletter and you opt in, we process your email address (and name if you provide it) to send the issues you requested and to measure basic delivery (bounces, unsubscribes). You can unsubscribe using the link in the email. We will not add you because you sent a project inquiry unless you separately opt in.
Server logs. Our host may record IP address, user agent, date and requested URL for security, abuse detection and diagnosing outages. These logs are operational, not a marketing profile we sell.
Analytics. Our host records basic request logs for security and uptime. We do not currently run a third-party advertising tracker on this site. If we add an analytics tool, the cookie policy will name it.
We do not require an account to read the public site. We do not knowingly collect data from children. This site is aimed at business readers.
Legal bases we rely on (where GDPR or similar law applies)
- Legitimate interests: answering inbound project mail, securing the site, understanding aggregate page use
- Consent: newsletter signup; non-essential cookies and marketing tags where the cookie policy requires consent
- Contract or pre-contract steps: handling a request to start a project
- Legal obligation: keeping records if invoices, tax or a lawful request require it
Sharing, processors and transfers
We share personal data with service providers who run email, hosting, form delivery, and (if enabled) newsletter or analytics. They are processors or independent controllers depending on the product. We do not sell personal data. We do not share inquiry messages with random “partner networks.”
Email to hello@progley.com, sales@progley.com, support@progley.com and form submissions may be stored in an email host or CRM we operate or subscribe to. If those vendors store data outside your country, transfers happen under their terms and any safeguards they publish (for example standard contractual clauses). We will name primary processors in a project DPA when you are a client.
We may disclose data if required by law, to protect the site from abuse, or in a genuine business transfer of Progley Technologies, limited to what is necessary.
Retention
Project inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and for a reasonable period afterward so we understand prior context if you write again. We do not publish a fake “we delete everything in 30 days” rule that would make abuse investigations impossible. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short period to honor suppression.
Server logs follow the host’s default unless we configure a shorter window. Analytics retention follows the tool’s settings once enabled.
Your choices and requests
You can ask what data we hold about you from this website, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete inquiry or newsletter data where we have no overriding need to keep it (for example an ongoing contract or legal hold). Email hello@progley.com from the address we should match.
You can object to legitimate-interest processing or withdraw consent for the newsletter. You can complain to your local data protection authority. We would rather fix a problem directly first.
Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, health records, or large personal datasets through the public form. Use a channel we agree in a project.
